Unusual for a riding teacher, she urged the riders to engage in a short
conversation with her.
„Where does the problem lie between you and
your horse?“ was her opening question, while listening well to each
rider’s answer every time. After which she focussed on them and their
personal weak spot, regardless whether they were a beginning rider or a
competing dressage rider in the higher classes. Every one was addressed at that
point where they stood in their development.
Nowadays, this charming
Dutch lady is still active in the saddle, although predominantly she teaches.
As a trainer she flies around the world. On a regular basis she teaches in New
Zealand, Australia, Korea, USA and Spain. Comparingly short her two trips to
the Riding and Driving Association Asperden-Kessel must have been these past
weekends, almost a home match.
Understanding problems: none whatsoever.
She speaks not only fluent Dutch, French and English, but also teaches and
translates German. To the greater pleasure of all participating
riders!
