At the beginning, due to sudden increase in the amount of work asked by
Birgitt, it was hard to follow her lessons. I always rode with relaxed mind set
that sometimes made the horses bit lazy. At times I also used to forget to ride
actively in the exercises. However, Birgitt could not stand the fact that I did
not allow the horse to work fully with the rider. She did not give me a chance
to be lazy on a horse which transformed the way my horse moved. Due to a slight
change in the way I rode, I get to show a horse that moved with ease due to an
engagement and with more presence. She also has helped me very much with the
canter pirouettes. She has helped me feel how the exercise should be prepared
and finished. I used to focus more on riding the pirouette itself but Birgitts
approach to looking at different parts of all the exercises helped me a lot in
my riding.
